Message from the President
The Taiwan Society for Endoscopic Spinal Surgery (TSESS) is an academic organization founded by a group of surgeons committed to advancing the field of spinal endoscopic surgery through openness, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
Since its establishment, the Society has fostered a culture of structured knowledge exchange and mutual learning. Members actively share clinical experience, discuss surgical strategies, and place strong emphasis on complication awareness and prevention. The principle of “No secret behind” reflects our commitment to transparency, academic integrity, and collective progress. Our Society is sustained by dedicated members and pioneers who continuously contribute to education, training, and mentorship, supporting the development of successive generations of spine surgeons.
While individual excellence is important, sustainable academic advancement is achieved through collective effort. The Society has progressed steadily through close collaboration among its members, resulting in meaningful growth in both academic output and educational capacity.
Through the leadership and dedication of our former Presidents and Board members, the Taiwan Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Endoscopy has developed into a professional academic organization with more than 400 active members. In addition to regular on-site scientific meetings and hands-on surgical simulation workshops, the Society has established a high-frequency, structured online continuing medical education (CME) program. This comprehensive educational framework accommodates surgeons at different stages of training and represents one of the Society’s most valuable academic assets.
I am sincerely grateful for the trust and support of the membership in appointing me as President for the current term. Building upon the solid foundation established by my predecessors, I will continue to promote academic excellence in spinal endoscopic surgery, strengthen international collaboration, and enhance the global engagement and academic influence of the TSESS.
